Good Luck in Baltimore - MDSSC Flag Football

I'm sure that it comes to no surprise that I am writing this blog. I have been in Cincy for a little over a month now and as much as it pains me to say it... I haven't looked back. Trust me. I miss this league, painfully. I haven't had the opportunity to play football at all since I got here and stopping by the site today got me thinking. You guys deserve a closing, a farewell... something. So here it is...My final predictions:

Keep in mind...I haven't talked to anyone this season and know nothing about how you got to your records. For that reason, some of you may not give a shit...well, this is my last post, so move on fu*ker. :)

PLAYOFFS 5/14 - Round 1
#1 Pain vs #8 Prestige - Prestige came back after last season? Pain -14

#4 Victors vs #5 TTB - Prop's to TTB for sticking with All-Pro after a season off. Never count out the Victors but I think they play to hang out more than win now, not that there is anything wrong with that... TTB -2

#3 Money vs #6 Balls Deep - Looks like Money played strong this season. Balls Deep went from Cinderella two seasons ago to the Carolina Panthers last season. Can they redeem themselves? Maybe... Money -1

#2 Untouchables vs #7 Danger - Guess Danger didn't replace Hank yet? Untouchables -13

Round 2 (based on my predictions above)
#1 Pain vs #5 TTB - Two smart teams here. They both know how to slow the game down as well as hit big plays.  Gut feeling... TTB -2

#2 Untouchables vs #3 Money - Let's be real here... Untouchables -4

Championship
#2 Untouchables vs #5 TTB - What the hell? Untouchables always reaches the finals, even in a hypothetical mock bracket... Doesn't matter. For some reason I think TTB wins it based on this scenario. I'm probably way off and Money takes all but we'll see.

I wanted to break down Pro too... but I'm not going game-by-game.

Favorites - WTF, HitSquad, Beltway & Karma...Underdog - B'Moore

Based on the bracket... on 5/21 it will be HitSquad vs Beltway and Karma vs B'Moore

This is HitSquad's time to shine. They should be in AllPro but I will let DJ slide this once more. Beltway isn't the same anymore. I don't know what it is but they don't have that extra umph. However, I think they will play HitSquad tight. The reason I believe Karma will beat WTF is that Karma is in their third consecutive season together and WTF plays sporadically...regardless of the talent they have, I think Karma will win... lastly, B'moore has an easy route based on the bracket. The first play Menace, who has a tool for a QB that can't throw, and then they play X-Factor. X-Factor is -49 in pts scored vs given up and are ranked 2nd? Unless Mike screwed up, which is very possible, I find B'Moore playing on 5/21.

Based on that, I would say HitSquad vs Karma in the championship with HitSquad winning it all unless Brady found his old ways. HitSquad doesn't need to be in Pro anymore and after this season they shouldn't be. Now, I know I have one fan who thinks I love HitSqaud and blah blah blah... but other than some raw athletes speckled throughout other teams, the HitSquad have the most complete team in the league. Hell, they've had the same 20 guys playing together for at least 3years and 9 seasons.

That's all folks... I'm done with the blog. Just can't do it from Cincy. I know I will likely never talk to some of you again and hopefully I will stay in touch on a personal level with those of you I know well. Good luck out there on the good ol' Oregon Ridge. It was a fantastic and fun 8 years with a lot of you. Prop's to Mike Mockoviak for keeping this league up and running and helping us find great times and memories.

MDSSC: Winter Flag Football - Champs Crowned!

MILLER LITE VICTORS - WINTER 2011 ALL PRO CHAMPS
Well I missed a great weekend of football apparently. The Victors were victorious and Hit Squad got of the schneid to win their first championship behind a great defense and a reliable Brady. Rusty Trombone finished their season of flawlessly without a loss. I stole the Victors picture from facebook and I did the same with the Hit Squad.. What is up with that hair #27?

HIT SQUAD - WINTER 2011 PRO CHAMPS
Stole this one from Mike... RUSTY TROMBONE - WINTER 2011 SEMI PRO CHAMPS
What a great season guys! I am sad that I won't get to be here to run around the good ole' Oregon Ridge fields. Maybe I will be back one day for good. For now it will just be visits and living vicariously through some of your texts, emails, facebook messages, tweets one day I'm sure... maybe even get back into paging people. Either way, thanks for the great memories MDSSC. I will miss you. I already found a weird coed league that has an offensive line, maybe I will start Mac's Sports League out there.

Until next time...

MAC

P.S. Didn't mean to get all nostalgic there... I meant to say: I'm taking my talents to Cincinnati but the Bengals suck!

MDSSC: Winter Flag Football - Week 5 Wrap Up and Week 6

UPDATE:  (1/28/2011)There will not be games this Saturday due to the heavy snowfalls on Wednesday/Thursday. Week 7 games (1/29)will be played after the scheduled Week 8 games. So Week 8 will still be played on 2/5 as scheduled and then Week 7 will be played on 2/12 with the playoffs being held on 2/19 and 2/26.

**Check out the new Schedule Tab** Trying some things out.

NFL:
Okay #42... not going to give you the satisfaction this week. You're going to have to suffer. I went .500 again with the Steelers surviving and the Pack letting a third stringer get his hopes up.

Last Week's  Predictions:
Packers 24 Bears 13 (Close: 21-14)
Jets 13 Steelers 10 (Fail: 19-24)

Moving on... last week was colder than cold. Couldn't feel my hands.

Games of the Week:
Karma vs K: Karma didn't let that game be a one point game. They Crushed K to take the #2 seed in Semi Pro. (Covered)

All Madden vs Pain: I was hoping that Pain's QB would show up this week and they would get back on track... nope and All Madden made them pay. (Covered)

Hitmen vs Habitual: This was at least a good game for my games of the week. Came down to the wire with a 24-21 win for Hitmen to claim the #1 seed in Pro. (Covered)

Mayhem vs RDP: This also turned out to be a great game. I heard that LBH2's QB who has been a receiver on this new team all season had to step in to play QB this week because of a broken finger on the regular QB's throwing hand. Based on what I heard RDP made a comeback to win this one and stole Mayhem's heart. Don't sleep on Mayhem if they can get into the playoffs though.  (Didn't Cover)

If Games are played this week, which I think they will be, here are my Games of the Week:

11:00am
Rusty (5-0) vs K (4-1): K is coming off a tough loss to Karma and Rusty is on a roll. Is this where Rusty falls or K continues to slide? Either way, I need to watch this game because we play Rusty to close out the season. (Rusty -2)

Closet Flags (4-2) vs Hitmen (5-1): Also at 11 is this game that has all the makings of a great game or an unforeseen blowout. Closet Flags has stringed some nice wins together. They have put up points but those wins haven't been against teams like Beltway, HitSquad or Habitual. Now this will be a true test for Adam and his Motley Crue...same goes for Roger and Hitmen's ability to handle the pressure of being #1. (Hitmen -4)

12:15pm
Danger (3-3) vs All Madden (5-1): For a guy that left to go try this QB thing out this season the Danger v All Madden game still stings for me. I can only imagine what it feels like for the squad going into this game. Danger has been up and down this season with inconsistent appearances by their QB and All Madden has been performing at the top as usual. This has the makings of the same type of game that Hitmen vs Closet Flags does. I see All Madden winning out though. (All Madden -5)

2:45pm
Habitual (4-2) vs Hit Squad (4-2): This game will settle the 3-4 spot in my poll. My thoughts on Hit Squad are that they are the same team they always have been. They are stuck with whatever Brady puts out on the field. Their defense holds up most of the time but I think that they get dejected if there are too many turnovers. Long story short. This game will come down to him and if Habitual has anything to say about it Brady is going to give them the game. This season is the time for Brady to show us what he's got. (Habitual -3)

Hope we play this weekend. Bring your shovels to the field. :) Good Night

MDSSC: Week 3 - Games of the Week

Okay guys, as promised, my games of the week.

8:30am
Shire (1-1) vs Habitual Linesteppers (0-1)
I like this game because instead of Shire being 0-2 like the website says, they are 1-1 after putting up 44 on Pink last week. Habitual did win a championship not to long ago (Summer I believe) and I'm not sure they ever matched up with the team formally known as Shire, then The Movement and now Shire. Not knowing the new Shire team or Habitual I am going to say that Shire tosses the rock to Peazy in this one for a narrow win. (Shire -2)

9:45am
RDP (1-1) vs Balls Deep (1-1)
Both teams are coming off tough losses and should make for a great game. RDP as mentioned last night has a strong armed QB and has moved the Side Arm Speedster to rusher and receiver. Balls Deep can counter with their quick rusher and strong armed QB. The key to this game is who commits the first turnover. I have no idea who to pick in this game. Coin flipped.. it was Tails (RDP -1)

11:00am
Victors (0-2) vs Danger (1-1)
This series is turning into a good one... Danger got the best of the Victors last season and has drawn them this week after an interesting 2 weeks for Big Blue. Can the Victors get of the schneid this week? Or is this like when the Cowboys won their 5th ring in 97 and started losing every year after that? Danger went 2-5 last season and then snuck into the playoffs to take down the house.. I see them stunning the Victors and continuing their high. (Danger -3)

Other games of note... All Madden vs Fuzion at 2:45, Karma vs Rustyat 1:30, HitSquad vs xFactor at 12:15 and maybe Pain vs Mayhem bright and early at 8:30.

Bundle up tomorrow, the high is 34...I can only imagine what it will feel like at 8 in the morning.Good luck out there guys.

DON'T FORGET TO EMAIL ME AS A REP/COACH FOR YOUR TEAM IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. I WANT TO PUT TOGETHER A TEXT LIST AND GET EVERYTHING RUNNING A LITTLE SMOOTHER.

MDSSC Fall Flag Football - New Champs are Crowned!!

I will start this blog off by stating. These guys WON the championship. I can't think of a team that had to overcome what they did to win this thing. They finished the season 2-5! You read that right. Their second win came in the last game of the regular season against Tarheels... and they put them away 41-6. Then they started off with HitSquad in the first round beating them 18-6. This bunch of misfits carried their momentum into the final week games with a chip on their shoulder. They had a fan base and beer chilling in coolers waiting for the end of the day. A focused squad found themselves in a dogfight with the defending Summer Champs, the Untouchables in their first game. I had finished my game early enough to witness the momentum that would carry them to the promised land. With about 4 minutes to go, Danger was down 12 and had the ball. They were able to score at the 2 minute mark, failing on the conversion to make it a 6 point game. All Untouchables had to do was get a first down and the game was over. First play, short pass to the flats. Time out, Danger. Second play, Sack!, Time out Danger. and if I remember correctly, they picked off a desperation pass by Nick. That or a punt. Either way, Danger had the ball with about a minute left with only about 30 yards to go. Four plays later, they are in the endzone. Now, all they have to do is convert this 1pt conversion and it's over. Surprisingly, it was a pretty lax effort by them failing on the conversion and now on to OT. In the end, Danger scored and Untouchables failed to capitalize. Next up for Danger...? Defending Spring Champs, All Madden. This game was similar in the fact that it was a dog fight. Back and forth we went with them before ultimately coming down to the end. With under 30 seconds left, All Madden was down by 7 and was able to get the ball in the end zone. The decision made next decided the outcome. Blitz was open and the decision was to go for two for the win. Jump Ball tossed to the left and knocked down by the Danger Safety. Game over. And finally, TTB was the team that had to face these guys in the end. Danger was rolling and this point and crushed TTB. I don't know what the final score was but I saw Danger pick off TTB's QB at least 4-5 times. I imagine I will know the final score soon. So there you have it...another season is in the books and a new Champ is crowned. Congratulations to Danger and their fans.

See everyone out there on 12/4 for the winter season. Looking forward to it fellas.

MDSSC - Fall Flag Football - Round 2 (Championship Saturday)

Not sure about the spreads, but I was 7 for 8 last weekend. I won't recap too much. But here is what I will say. "Come On Hit Squad!", Balls Deep can play, Still have no idea about BullDawgs and this weekend should be awesome!

Okay, So here is how it is laid out:

8:30am Games:
#1 Untouchables vs #7 Danger:
The Untouchables have given up more points than usual this season... but it doesn't discount the fact that they are undefeated yet again. Danger will have to play balls out to take down these guys. I'm not sure Danger has the ability. They have some playmakers and their QB has a gun... but is it enough? (Untouchables -7)

#4 All Madden vs #5 Pain:
I don't like posting on my own games but since it is the playoffs I will give Pain and the guys on my team some reading. Pain is an up and down team. But there is no overlooking Joe (QB) and his quick feet. When he gets in trouble he can make things happen on the ground. All Madden suffered two tough losses the last time they were out, and with a full squad this weekend, we have only one goal in mind and that is playing one game at a time. No spread for this one...

#3 TTB vs (Unranked) BullDawgs:
I can't sleep on TTB anymore. Even without seeing the BullDawgs play this season, I can't pick against a Shawnp lead team. (TTB -6)

#2 Victors vs (Unranked) Balls Deep: I wish I could watch this game. This is an interesting match-up. Balls Deep has All-Pro caliber guys and, in my opinion, can stay in any game. With that being said, I know the Victors won't take them lightly. After playing the Victors last week, I know that they have put together a tough squad. It's all a matter of sticking together. (Victors -2)

Based on what I have above that would make the following the 10:00am games:

#1 Untouchables vs #4 All Madden
#2 Victors vs #3 TTB

I won't pretend to even know what would happen in this scenario. So, to remain unbiased, I will leave it to you to decide. See the poll to the right. Good luck out there everyone. See you Saturday.

MDSSC - Fall Flag Football Playoffs - Round 1

Back by demand... jumping right into it.

Pro Play-in games:
#1 Balls Deep vs #8 Karma: First let me thank Karma for their patience. They are sporting their new AGame jerseys and they look sweet! However, that isn't going to help them against Balls Deep. (BD -14)

#5 Hitmen vs #4 Closet Flags: I saw these two play each other last week and it started off good but Adam (CF) took too many chances deep and made it easy for Hitmen. Hitmen is the better team but if Closet Flags can manage the game better this might be a good one. I'm still picking the Hitmen though... (HM - 6)

#6 X-Factor vs #3 Bulldawgs: I haven't seen either team play but based on X-Factor only having 2 wins, I am going with the Dawgs. (BD -7)

#7 Regulators vs #2 HitSquad: The Regulators were able to throw some scores together last weekend but I don't think it is enough for the Squad. As long as Brady doesn't throw any crazy pick-6's this game should be theirs to lose. (HS -12)

Playoffs 1st Round:

I am picking these games based on my opinions above. So with that being said...

#7 Danger vs HitSquad: This is actually a pretty even game. Danger has had their struggles in All Pro but I give them props for being up here straight from Semi-Pro. HitSquad has to overcome their playoff woes and until they do, I'm not sure I can pick them this time around. I have even been accused of giving them too much love. I am basing my decision on Danger's play against us (All Madden) and Untouchables...for that reason, I pick them. (AD -1.5)

#5 Pain vs Hitmen: Have not seen Pain play all season but know that they have a quick QB at the helm. This will be Hitmen's 2nd game of the day. I have no idea who to pick hear. One of the Pain guys also told me they don't get any love. Here it is (Pain -2)

#6 Express vs BullDawgs: Express has athletes and they have a strong armed QB that now has some games under his belt. If they actually field a team this week (2 forfeits), I pick them. (Ex -6)

#8 Tarheels vs Balls Deep: Tarheels are like the Detroit Lions from two years ago...winless. It stays that way this season. (BD -4)

That's it guys...I won't be able to make any games this weekend so if you have my number text me your score. Or leave a comment, if you don't mind, with what happened. Hope everyone has a good Halloween weekend. Good Luck out there!

MDSSC - Fall Flag Football - Week 4

First off, sorry for the lack of posts lately. Long story, but after looking at my stats I noticed that there are still some of you loyal readers out there. So what the hell, let's get this thing going again.

So what has happened in the first couple of weeks? Well the Untouchables are undefeated, TTB still wants love, and Able Danger stepped up their game with a big win over the Victors. So with that being said, let's just start over and jump into this weeks games.

8:30am
Danger (1-2) vs Untouchables (2-0): Danger gets another tough test against the Summer defending champs. This should be an interesting game. Danger all high on their win over the Victors and now the Untouchables coming to work like they do every week. I say Untouchables stays undefeated. (Untouchables -6)

Tarheels (0-3) vs Victors (2-1): Tarheels are a hybrid of a few teams and I think I saw Jacked Up's QB out there last week. However, the Victors are going to be looking for someone to take their aggression out on this weekend in MudBowl 2010. (Victors -9)

Hitmen (1-1) vs X-Factor (1-2): Hitmen has a consistent squad these days and X-Factor is basically the Warriors. Sticking with Roger "I Love Me Some Me" and the Hitmen. (Hitmen -12)

9:45am
Express (1-2) vs All Madden (2-1): All Madden had a tough loss last week against our rival Untouchables team. I believe that Express gave TTB a win too. This should be a decent game. In All Madden's championship run in the Spring, Express gave us a loss. Express has some play makers and we have a few ourselves. I don't like picking my games so I will leave it to you to decide...

Hit Squad (1-2) vs Regulators (1-2): If I remember right, Hit Squad got off the schneid last week. Now they have an opportunity to make it a streak. I believe they will this week. (Hit Squad -4)

Bulldawgs (3-0)  vs Karma (0-3): Have no idea. Bulldawgs started off with some big wins early this season. Haven't seen them play. I have yet to catch a Karma game... Based on Bulldawgs first couple: (Bulldawgs -6)

11:00am
Untouchables (2-0) vs TTB (2-0): Okay TTB... I have received a few anonymous comments over the last few months about love. You showed that you had the ability to win in Pro and did it this Summer. You have stepped up to All Pro and beat up on Able Danger and Express. Now comes a tougher test. Untouchables is coming off an 8:30 game, so hopefully they have time to clean themselves up and get dry before playing you. I am going out on a limb here and because of TTB's speed and Untouchables usually only bringing 8-9 guys... I am going to call this one (EVEN). That's your love for this week. If you beat Untouchables. I will make sure there is a post up on Sunday. You have my word.

Balls Deep (2-0) vs Closet Flags (2-1): Last week all I saw from Adam was deep balls. Well guess who else likes to show off his arm...Balls Deeps's QB. This should be a good game with Balls Deep winning. (Balls Deep -5)

12:15pm
TTB (2-0) vs Pain (1-2): TTB will have just finished a tough game and have to turn it around to play a Pain team that dropped 45 on the Tarheels. I will say this one is closer than normal due to TTB's double header... (TTB -4)

Here's to hoping we get to play on Saturday. Have a good Friday!

MDSSC Fall Flag Football - We're Back!!

It's about time... the NFL is kicking off tonight and we get to start back up on Saturday. I can't wait to get back out there. Fall is one of those easy going fun seasons. We only have 16 total teams this season; an upper and lower division, but that doesn't mean we won't have great football.

Contrary to what some had heard, the Untouchables are back to defend their recent title. Speaking of Champs, the reigning Spring Champs that took the Untouchables down finally are back... that's All Madden for those of you who don't know. We have the Express, Tarheels (makeshift of Jacked Up, Money, and some other guys), Danger is back with a motivated Shermanator, the Victors are back...although I don't know who is on this team... and finally trying to put their collective money where their mouth is, TTB round out the upper division.

In the lower division, we also have eight teams. Some regulars, Hit Squad and Hitmen... you also have a newer team in Balls Deep, two other brand new teams Karma and the Regulators, and then you have Bulldawgs, Warriors (XFactor), and Closet Flags. The Hit Squad or Balls Deep are my favorites in this division.

On to this weekends games... Let's just have a few quick hits:

8:30am:
Pain vs Express: I hate picking teams for week 1. You never know what to expect. Pain had a nice run a couple seasons ago but have faded since then. Express has some great athletes but never seem to be there in the end. I am going to pick Express in this one though... (Express -4)

Warriors (XFactor) vs Closet Flags: A friend of mine QB's the Flags and he has a decent arm... will he be football ready though? He plays a lot of baseball and softball in the summer. We scrimmaged XFactor last weekend and they have a decent squad. If they can or will simplify their game they will be decent. I am picking the new guys. (XFactor -2)

9:45am:
Danger vs Victors: Mike doesn't do Danger any favors with a warm up game this season. However, I am not sure what to expect from Bill and the squad this season. But I do know that even though I like Danger's tenacity, I think the Victors take this one... (Victors -3.5)

Bulldawgs vs Hit Squad: This Brady didn't find a new squad in the off-season. He still plays for DJ's crew and they have to win this game... in fact, Hit Squad can't lose one game this season. No TTB and no Shire. This is your season Hit Squad. No pressure (Hit Squad -7.5)

11:00:
All Madden vs Tarheels: We'reeeee baaaaackkk... I don't want to be biased on here and I have no idea who is on the Tarheels team, but we are ecstatic to have our squad back this season. With that being said, we're missing some guys this week and I don't know who the QB is for Tarheels. (All Madden -5)

Karma vs Regulators: This is kind of funny.  I am pretty sure this would be an inter-squad scrimmage if it happened two months ago. Karma, although they have some new guys, used to be on G4B. The Regulators have the other half of G4B from my knowledge. Should be a decent game though. (even)

That's it this week. Welcome back fellas!!!

MDSSC - Summer Flag Football - Champions Crowned

The summer is over and the Champs have been crowned. Besides the Pro championship game, there was some pretty sloppy football out there this weekend. I counted at least 8 interceptions in the All-Pro championship  football game and I know there was at least two in the Pro game. All-in-all...a great season by all teams. Let's get right down to it shall we?

Let's start with the Pro Championship Football game... It was Shire vs TTB in a heated rematch. This game lived up to expectations. TTB was down two scores before fighting their way back into it. It was a fantastic game that was played well. It came down to a 4th and long that Shire had to convert to have a chance. Clyde slung it to Peazy right across the 1st down line only to be knocked away at the last possible second. TTB won by 2 and are crowned the Pro champs. Now, I heard that Shire moved up to All-Pro... is TTB finally going to grace us with their presence?

In the Semi-pro championship started off rocky for one team and that was Balls Deep. Crabcakes came out on fire jumping up to a 34-0 lead by halftime. I don't know the final score but I know that the Crabcakes won by 13. Tough game for my boy John but Congrats to the resilient Crabcakes! After losing to Balls Deep pretty handily two weeks ago they came out and won it all.

Now for All-Pro...

Unfortunately, I missed the early games but was filled in on some of the details.

Untouchables vs Fuzion - Based on what I heard, Fuzion was kind of short handed, but regardless of that fact, Untouchables only had 8 as well. Their 8 was just better. They won this game kind of easy 33-13 or something like that.

All Express vs CCC - Okay All Express, I bought into the hype and picked you to win it all. Guess from now on, I will stick to my head and not my gut when it comes to picking games. The same thing happened to me with Shire. I heard this game was kind of crazy. I heard that even though All Express only lost by 6 points or so, that BC threw at least 4 picks.. That won't cut it in the semi's... CCC made it to the Flag Football Championship... I guess the Southpaw was ready to play.

ALL-PRO CHAMPIONSHIP:
Untouchables vs CCC - I don't know what to call this game... maybe a defensive battle? A sloppy performance by both QB's? or just a tough football game? Either way, even though there wasn't a lot of scoring it was a great game. Both QB's traded interceptions for most of the first half leading to a 12-6 or 12-12 halftime. Let's just get down to the end of the game. Untouchables was up by 7 points with a little over two minutes to go and it came down to a 3rd or 4th and goal... CCC scored with a bullet to the back of the end zone. (1:48 to go) CCC goes for the tie with the blitz open. They toss it back to a WR who had no one to throw to... 1pt game. With 1:48 to go all Untouchables has to do is get a first down and it's over... CCC had a different plan. They stopped Untouchables with about :47 to go and forced a punt. CCC has one last shot.... one short pass and three incomplete passes later, Untouchables are crowned the champs for the third time in three seasons... and that other season they were in the championship game as well. Congrats to Nick and Aaron and the rest of the Untouchables on another championship win!!

Nick denies the tie... Untouchables win!
Lastly, Fall league starts on September 11th.... Have a nice break gentlemen. And I will see you in the fall!

MDSSC - Summer Flag Football - CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND!!!

Okay, so I know most people wont be able to read this as it is Friday night and the games are tomorrow. My bad fellas...it has been a crazy week. Let's just get started, shall we?

The weekend is here....and this is where you can insert a cliche line. This will be a quick prediction post.

SEMI-PRO Championship: 11:00am
Balls Deep vs Crab Cakes: Balls Deep owned them two weeks ago but lost to them earlier in the season. This could be a great game or it could be a beat down. Balls Deep has a strong armed QB. It all comes down to whether he turns the ball over or not. Crab Cakes has an impressive team that stays together and keeps fighting regardless of the score. I like this game to be closer.. Balls Deep -4

PRO Championship: 9:45am
TTB vs Shire: This should make for an interesting match-up and has generated some buzz on the comment board this week. So here's the deal. TTB ran through teams during the playoffs and were only stopped by Hit Squad during the regular season to stomp them last week in the semi's. Shire has been on a roll and were only stopped by TTB at the end of the season in dominating fashion. However, I won't give TTB all the credit just yet although I think they are the favorites. I like that Mac will be there tomorrow and they looked good this last weekend. TTB will be a true test for them because I think both teams are equal in speed. My gut says Shire and my brain says TTB....hmmm: Shire -2

ALL-PRO Semi's: 8:30am
Fuzion vs Untouchables: Untouchables are at it again this season. They look great again as usual and I am still not sure what to think about Fuzion. They knocked of the Victors earlier this season but had to come back from behind and hold strong on a conversion to beat LBH2. I am going with the favorite on this one: Untouchables -6

CCC vs All Express: All Express has gone from Thomas the Train starting the season without a win to a force only Superman can stop... Question is, does CCC possess that unstoppable force? Maybe their southpaw QB or maybe a guy that has hands... check this out! Either way for some weird reason I feel like All Express has the it factor this time around. All Express -5.5

ALL-PRO CHAMPIONSHIP!

Based on my predictions this game should feature the Untouchables and All Express at 11:00am on Field A. This should have all of the makings of a great game. All Express got the best of the Untouchables a few weeks ago but afterward I heard that Untouchables played with only 7 for the first half. After finding that out, I don't care about that game. Here's the deal with this game...Nick and the Untouchables are by far one of the most consistent teams in our league. They have two championships and were almost undefeated again this season. All Express, on the other hand, got together at the beginning of this season more or less to play and have fun. It started off rough with guys not showing up and them having to play games with 6 or 7 but they finally got their guys to show up including their QB. I have no idea what to predict here so I will say this. I think All Express has the athletes and Untouchables have the discipline...If BC protects the ball, I think All Express wins this one. But I will leave it at this: (All Express -1)

This should be another great championship game. Win or lose earlier in the day you should stick around to watch this. Or if you stumble on this and are already out for the season get your ass up to the fields by 11am. It's supposed to be gorgeous!

See you out there...#32

MDSSC - Summer Flag Football - Playoffs Week 1

Well the first week of the playoffs is over. There were some surprising results from this weekend's football games; so let's get right to it.

ALL PRO:
8:30am:
#5W Scores vs #4E Jacked Up: Well Jacked Up's QB informed them on Wednesday that he was going to be at a wedding on Saturday and wouldn't be there this weekend. That seriously screws up plans for them to march through the playoffs. They had a tough time with a new looking crew that Scores brought out but in the end, they held on to win the game with veteran John Money at the helm. However, they didn't cover.

#4W CCC vs #5E Franchise: I don't know the score of this game but I know that CCC won by 7 or so and controlled the lead throughout the game. Is the the end of Franchise Hollywood already?

11:00am:
#2W LBH2 vs #3E Fuzion: I didn't get to see this game but I heard it was sloppy. LBH held an 18-6 lead at halftime to relinquish it towards the end. Apparently, it was 25-18 by way of Fuzion when LBH scored late to make it 25-24. They went for the win (2pt) and failed. Fuzion moves on.

#1E Untouchables vs #4E Jacked Up: JU may have been able to survive against scores without Ryan but they lost Khalid in that game too. This one wasn't pretty. 32-0 I believe.

#1W Victors vs #4W CCC: I don't know the final score of this one but I do know it had to be one of the longest games ever. It went into double OT before the Victors failed to stop CCC. The #4 seed upsets one of my favorites on day one.

#3W All Express vs #2E Mayhem: My doubt of All Express must ignited something in them or they just brought some more guys out. Just kidding. Either way I heard they won handily and are looking forward to their game or games next weekend.

ALL PRO GAMES THIS WEEK:
9:45am - Untouchables vs Fuzion
9:45am - All Express vs CCC

PRO:
This playoff bracket was pretty routine... TTB crushed the Spartans, Hit Sqaud (another team without their QB) crushed Menace, Hitmen won although they had to make a comeback in the final minutes and Shire crushed Go 4 Broke... now that was the first round

12:15pm: TTB vs Hit Squad: Hit Squad was the only team that was able to give TTB an L this season and it's unfortunate that they had to play a revengeful TTB squad without a QB. It was no match either. TTB locked it down and won 42-6 or something like that. Brady Quinn must have flown off to Denver to win his spot back from Tuck Tebow.

12:15pm: Shire vs Hitmen: They had an exciting game two weeks ago and this was almost as exciting. Hitmen clawed back from behind again today as they did two weeks ago. It wasn't enough this time and the air was taken out of their sails on a nice one-handed interception by the one and only MAC. Shire won by 3 after giving up a last second score.

PRO CHAMPIONSHIP:
11:00AM - TTB vs Shire (Last week TTB routed Shire last week.. What Shire team will show up for the 'ship?)

I have no idea what happened in Semi-Pro other than Balls Deep routed the Tigers and are in the Championship game at 11:00am on Saturday...

More to come on Thursday or Friday...

Also, if you're into Co-Ed football and you like playing in Hunt Valley, check out: Play Baltimore.

MDSSC - Summer Flag Football - PLAYOFFS

Playoffs are here... time to get rolling on my predictions. Mike updated the brackets, so I will go off that and just give my predictions for tomorrow in All Pro and Pro. Semi... you already know my thoughts.

**Forgot to Post this. I have a Fall team (Closet Flags) is looking for some individuals. They will be in Pro or Semi pro. If you're interested give Adam a call at 410.967.0673. Thanks!**

*DON'T FORGET TO VOTE IN THE ALL-PRO POLL ----------->>>

Here we go:
8:30am: #5W Scores vs #4E Jacked Up: Scores had to forfeit last week. They are win-less this season which, unfortunately, isn't going to change here. Jacked Up wins easy. (Jacked Up -14)

8:30am: #5E Franchise vs #4W CCC: From what I heard CCC waxed Franchise last week. Not sure what to think about this game. Both teams played multiple games last week and it was Franchises third of the day when they ran into CCC. Flipped a coin and Franchise was the lucky winner.. (Franchise -1)

11:00am: #2W LBH2 vs #3 Fuzion: LBH seemed a little out of sorts against Franchise last week. A lot of blame was going around. Fuzion on the other hand played as a team to beat the Victors. Fuzion also beat LBH 30-20 earlier this season... (Fuzion -6.5)

11:00am: #2E Mayhem vs #3W All Express: This should be a great game. Considering Kosty and Nick's remarks, I assume they will have their full squad* there. With that being said, I believe Mayhem should all be accounted for. All Express took it to Untouchables last week but I recently heard that Untouchables started the game off with 7. That let a little air out of the balloon for me. Mayhem is consistent and has performed well as always. Taking my bias out of the equation I say: (Mayhem -1.5)

11:00am: #1E Untouchables vs #4E Jacked Up: Untouchables beat JU easily in the first week of the season, but I don't think that game means anything here. Untouchables lost their first game of the season last week with JU coming out of a 3game week 2-1. This game honestly depends on how JU's QB is playing. I give him two modes Football mode and Baseball mode...if he is in football mode this game will be great and they could win due to their size and physical play - Baseball mode? They get crushed. Either way I think Untouchables wins... (Untouchables -4.5)

11:00am: #1W Victors vs Mayhem/All Express: Victor's win over AE doesn't amount to much because I don't know which team the Victors played. The Victors didn't get to see Mayhem this season. Regardless,  I think Bill has his best team in years and one of the best in the league. Sorry for the pressure Bill. (Victors -4 over either)

PRO:
9:45am (All Games)
#1W TTB vs #4W Spartans: Spartans have barely been able to field a team lately. My boy Ray needs to blow that team up and bring in some new blood for next season. This will be a warm up game for TTB. (TTB -21)

#2W Hit Squad vs #3E Menace: Hit Squad is rolling and they should in this game. Not sure if Menace will get more than 8 there. (Squad -16)

#2E Hitmen vs #3 Bulldawgs: I have yet to see the Bulldawgs play this year but I don't think it matters. Hitmen will roll in this game with their tiny football. (Hitmen -14)

#1W Shire vs #4 Go4Broke: Shire has been an interesting team these last two weeks. They better get back to being ONE cohesive unit. Luckily they have a struggling G4B to match up against. Unfortunately, G4B just hasn't been able to get things going this season. (Shire -13.5)

12:15pm:
#1E TTB vs #2W Hit Squad: This should be a great game! Hit Squad gave TTB their lone loss this season. I might just have to flip a coin here but instead I am going for the upset. (Hit Squad -1.5)

#1W Shire vs #2E Hitmen: Another great game here... Two weeks ago it almost went into overtime had Hitmen not given up a last second TD and Conversion. The conversion is what won the game for Shire after Hitmen erased a 26-13 deficit in the 2nd half. I don't even know what to put here but if Clyde makes one mistake and his team turns on him as they often do...Hitmen will win. I say: (Shire -1)

That's it for today... I will wrap it up on Sunday or Monday and give you my predictions before next weeks Semi's and Championship.

MDSSC - Summer Flag Football - Week 5

Okay Travis, let's get this knocked out so you can get yourself ready for a double header tomorrow. If you want to see a recap of last week you can click here. Let's just jump right into the games for this weekend. There are some good ones.

8:30am
Jacked Up (1-1) vs Fuzion (1-3): Jacked Up is back to their 2 games a day - 2 weeks off routine. They get to start with a an unusual 1-win team in Fuzion. Fuzion has had a tough time winning and I have yet to see JU play. I guess I will say... (Jacked Up -2) Considering they beat Scores 28-12 and Fuzion survived Scores 32-30.
LBH2 (3-1) vs Victors (4-0): This is an interesting one. LBH2 was known for getting after the Victors. But these aren't the same Victors. The Victors have won some great games but LBH2 has only lost to the Untouchables. Even with LBH2's 3-1 record I am saying...P.S. Travis thinks he might score 4 td's on Saturday, that's #9 for LBH2... (Victors -10)
9:45am
Franchise (2-1) vs Untouchables (4-0): This should be a great game! Proc has a cannon for an arm and Franchise has some players that can get after it on both sides of the ball. Untouchables, on the other hand, have run through our league twice to be crowned champs and you can't underestimate them. This is easily the game of the day. (Franchise -1) (Adj. spread as we get closer...Untouchables -6)
Circus Show (3-1) vs Balls Deep (2-1): Here's your Semi-pro love... Balls deep has a strong-armed QB and as long as he can put the ball on point I think Balls Deep might humble the Show. In fairness to the Show, I have not seen them play. So...(Balls Deep -4)
11:00am
Jacked Up (1-1) vs Victors (4-0): This will be the second game for both of these teams on a hot day. I have no idea what to say here so I will say.... (Victors -4) based on the fact that they have won 3 tough games and JU has been off for two weeks.
12:15pm
TTB (3-1) vs Hitmen (3-1): And here is your Pro love... This is the best game in this division this weekend. Both team's only loss comes by way of the Hit Squad. So they're playing for 3rd place, considering no one has beat Shire. I like this match up though and think that the Hitmen can keep their streak going...but it will be tough. (Hitmen -2)
Franchise (2-1) vs Mayhem (1-1): This will also be Franchise's second game on a hot day and Mayhem should have the leverage in regards to being cool. Mayhem lost a tough one last week to Untouchables but hadn't played in two weeks prior to that. The key in this game will be who gets stops on Defense. I am going to give Mayhem some love here... (Mayhem -2.5) (Adj. Spread as we get closer...Mayhem -10)

To add a little gas to the fire... Here's my AP poll going into this weekend for All Pro and Pro:

ALL PRO MAC POLL:
1. Victors (4-0)
2. Untouchables (4-0)
3. LBH2 (3-1)
4. Franchise (2-1)
5. Mayhem (1-1)
6. Jacked Up (1-1)
7. CCC (1-2)
8. Fuzion (1-3)
9. All Express (0-3)
10. Scores (0-5)

PRO MAC POLL:
1. Shire (4-0)
2. Hit Squad (3-1)
3. Hitmen (3-1)
4. TTB (3-1)
5. Menace (2-2)
6. Bulldawgs (1-3)
7. Go 4 Broke (0-4)
8. Spartans (0-4)

Alright fellas, it's a wrap. I will be out at the fields this weekend. Let's try and keep the scraps to a minimum...wait, NO FIGHTS! You are grown ass men. Supposed to be anyway. Leave it out on the field. Good Luck to everyone.

One More Thing... You guys have seen me plug Jerseys on here before and if you're interested in looking as good as All Madden, Able Danger, Victors, Fuzion, Hit Squad, Shire, Spartans, Jacked Up or Go 4 Broke.. I can help you out. And if Flag football jerseys aren't your thing...yet. But you want something custom (Check out the Victors new threads this weekend) I can also help you out with moisture wicking shirts...Just hit me up.

MDSSC Summer Flag Football - Week 4

I know I said Friday but my week as caught up to me... so unfortunately here are just some quick hits.

Games of the Week:
8:30AM: Menace vs Hitmen - I dunno why I am doing this... Hitmen -8
9:45AM: LBH2 vs MaddenExpress - M.E. has to win one of these...right? LBH2 -10
11:00AM: Victors vs Franchise - It's like the Colts vs Ravens in the playoffs for you Baltimore folk. If TJ is hurt, which I heard he was, then this could be pretty close. Victors -2
12:15PM: Untouchables vs Mayhem - Mayhem is missing out on their Allstar (DL)... I say Untouchables -3

Sorry about the lack of posts gentlemen, but I did enjoy the banter back and forth on the comment section. Can you guys man up (exception to AD #44 and Roger) and put your names down?

I will be out there all day tomorrow.Good luck to everyone. Oh, and FYI, the website is updated...

MDSSC....Heating up

On to the MDSSC Flag Football League played in Hunt Valley, Maryland on Saturdays...All-Pro Division: 3 weeks are down with a bye last week for the holiday. Hope everyone had a safe 4th. So a brief overview of the season so far...

Not everyone has played three games and even one of the stronger teams (the Victors) have only played one. Standings currently have 4 teams undefeated (Mayhem, Fuzion, Revolution and LBH2) and the Untouchables at 2-1. Everyone else is either 1-2 or 0-2 and the Victors and Jacked up have only played once and both lost. There are 12 teams in all and usually ends up being a pretty tight season for the most part. Each team will play 8 games.. Here are some of the games of the week:

8:30am: Fuzion(2-0) vs Rezurection (1-2)
Fuzion has taken All-Pro by storm beating the Untouchables and Money by decent amounts. Now that they are getting settled lets see if they can keep it up. On the other side, Rezurection started out with a high scoring 37-35 victory over NoResponse to turn around and lose 42-27 and 48-16 to LBH2 and Mayhem respectively.. Important to note that both of those teams are championship squads. I wouldn't overlook Rezurection...but they need to tighten up their D.
Prediction: 35-21 (Fuzion)

9:45am: Untouchables (2-1) vs Jumpoff (0-2)
Untouchables shocked Money (30-6) and shocked the Victors (31-27) in our last week of games.. but in between those got crushed by Fuzion 44-13. On the other side.. Jumpoff has started slow at 0-2 with a close loss to Revolution (37-32) and the other loss to LBH2 (39-27). This game might be close but with the momentum on Untouchables side...
Prediction: 28-16 (Untouchables)

11am: Victors(0-1) vs Mayhem (2-0)
Mayhem has started off with two big wins against two new teams and the Victors were beat by the Untouchables on the 27th (31-27)... Victors will look to bounce back with an early game vs (0-2) NoRespons and then this game. Mayhem only has this one. This is a tough call considering Scott is back and flinging the ball and the Victors are always in contention.
Prediction: Going to flip a coin here...Tails=Victors - Heads=Mayhem... Heads it is. I have no idea what the score will be so I will say 28-26 Mayhem...

12:15: Revolution (2-0) vs All-Money (1-2)
Revolution has had two good wins against the Jumpoff (0-2) and NoResponse (0-2)... All-Money beat the Best Team (0-2) easily but lost to the Untouchables (2-1) and Fuzion (2-0).. This is a hard one to call. Both teams have been in the league for a long time and know eachother well. The key here will be defense. All-Money has given up 75 pts and scored 75.. Lopsided loss and a lopsided win... Revolution has played 2 games to Money's 3 and has given up 45pts but scored 70. Going out on a limb here.
Prediciton: 24-21 (Money)
