MDSSC: Winter Flag Football - Week 5 Wrap Up and Week 6

UPDATE:  (1/28/2011)There will not be games this Saturday due to the heavy snowfalls on Wednesday/Thursday. Week 7 games (1/29)will be played after the scheduled Week 8 games. So Week 8 will still be played on 2/5 as scheduled and then Week 7 will be played on 2/12 with the playoffs being held on 2/19 and 2/26.

**Check out the new Schedule Tab** Trying some things out.

NFL:
Okay #42... not going to give you the satisfaction this week. You're going to have to suffer. I went .500 again with the Steelers surviving and the Pack letting a third stringer get his hopes up.

Last Week's  Predictions:
Packers 24 Bears 13 (Close: 21-14)
Jets 13 Steelers 10 (Fail: 19-24)

Moving on... last week was colder than cold. Couldn't feel my hands.

Games of the Week:
Karma vs K: Karma didn't let that game be a one point game. They Crushed K to take the #2 seed in Semi Pro. (Covered)

All Madden vs Pain: I was hoping that Pain's QB would show up this week and they would get back on track... nope and All Madden made them pay. (Covered)

Hitmen vs Habitual: This was at least a good game for my games of the week. Came down to the wire with a 24-21 win for Hitmen to claim the #1 seed in Pro. (Covered)

Mayhem vs RDP: This also turned out to be a great game. I heard that LBH2's QB who has been a receiver on this new team all season had to step in to play QB this week because of a broken finger on the regular QB's throwing hand. Based on what I heard RDP made a comeback to win this one and stole Mayhem's heart. Don't sleep on Mayhem if they can get into the playoffs though.  (Didn't Cover)

If Games are played this week, which I think they will be, here are my Games of the Week:

11:00am
Rusty (5-0) vs K (4-1): K is coming off a tough loss to Karma and Rusty is on a roll. Is this where Rusty falls or K continues to slide? Either way, I need to watch this game because we play Rusty to close out the season. (Rusty -2)

Closet Flags (4-2) vs Hitmen (5-1): Also at 11 is this game that has all the makings of a great game or an unforeseen blowout. Closet Flags has stringed some nice wins together. They have put up points but those wins haven't been against teams like Beltway, HitSquad or Habitual. Now this will be a true test for Adam and his Motley Crue...same goes for Roger and Hitmen's ability to handle the pressure of being #1. (Hitmen -4)

12:15pm
Danger (3-3) vs All Madden (5-1): For a guy that left to go try this QB thing out this season the Danger v All Madden game still stings for me. I can only imagine what it feels like for the squad going into this game. Danger has been up and down this season with inconsistent appearances by their QB and All Madden has been performing at the top as usual. This has the makings of the same type of game that Hitmen vs Closet Flags does. I see All Madden winning out though. (All Madden -5)

2:45pm
Habitual (4-2) vs Hit Squad (4-2): This game will settle the 3-4 spot in my poll. My thoughts on Hit Squad are that they are the same team they always have been. They are stuck with whatever Brady puts out on the field. Their defense holds up most of the time but I think that they get dejected if there are too many turnovers. Long story short. This game will come down to him and if Habitual has anything to say about it Brady is going to give them the game. This season is the time for Brady to show us what he's got. (Habitual -3)

Hope we play this weekend. Bring your shovels to the field. :) Good Night

  1. Nice work on the site, including the schedule addition. Mike should throw you some $$ each season and just have this be the official site.

BSSC can keep a site up to date with hundreds of teams across 10 sports, but MDSSC can't run a single-sport site with 30 teams.
