Well the first week of the playoffs is over. There were some surprising results from this weekend's football games; so let's get right to it.
ALL PRO:
8:30am:
#5W Scores vs #4E Jacked Up: Well Jacked Up's QB informed them on Wednesday that he was going to be at a wedding on Saturday and wouldn't be there this weekend. That seriously screws up plans for them to march through the playoffs. They had a tough time with a new looking crew that Scores brought out but in the end, they held on to win the game with veteran John Money at the helm. However, they didn't cover.
#4W CCC vs #5E Franchise: I don't know the score of this game but I know that CCC won by 7 or so and controlled the lead throughout the game. Is the the end of Franchise Hollywood already?
11:00am:
#2W LBH2 vs #3E Fuzion: I didn't get to see this game but I heard it was sloppy. LBH held an 18-6 lead at halftime to relinquish it towards the end. Apparently, it was 25-18 by way of Fuzion when LBH scored late to make it 25-24. They went for the win (2pt) and failed. Fuzion moves on.
#1E Untouchables vs #4E Jacked Up: JU may have been able to survive against scores without Ryan but they lost Khalid in that game too. This one wasn't pretty. 32-0 I believe.
#1W Victors vs #4W CCC: I don't know the final score of this one but I do know it had to be one of the longest games ever. It went into double OT before the Victors failed to stop CCC. The #4 seed upsets one of my favorites on day one.
#3W All Express vs #2E Mayhem: My doubt of All Express must ignited something in them or they just brought some more guys out. Just kidding. Either way I heard they won handily and are looking forward to their game or games next weekend.
ALL PRO GAMES THIS WEEK:
9:45am - Untouchables vs Fuzion
9:45am - All Express vs CCC
PRO:
This playoff bracket was pretty routine... TTB crushed the Spartans, Hit Sqaud (another team without their QB) crushed Menace, Hitmen won although they had to make a comeback in the final minutes and Shire crushed Go 4 Broke... now that was the first round.
12:15pm: TTB vs Hit Squad: Hit Squad was the only team that was able to give TTB an L this season and it's unfortunate that they had to play a revengeful TTB squad without a QB. It was no match either. TTB locked it down and won 42-6 or something like that. Brady Quinn must have flown off to Denver to win his spot back from Tuck Tebow.
12:15pm: Shire vs Hitmen: They had an exciting game two weeks ago and this was almost as exciting. Hitmen clawed back from behind again today as they did two weeks ago. It wasn't enough this time and the air was taken out of their sails on a nice one-handed interception by the one and only MAC. Shire won by 3 after giving up a last second score.
PRO CHAMPIONSHIP:
11:00AM - TTB vs Shire (Last week TTB routed Shire last week.. What Shire team will show up for the 'ship?)
I have no idea what happened in Semi-Pro other than Balls Deep routed the Tigers and are in the Championship game at 11:00am on Saturday...
More to come on Thursday or Friday...
Also, if you're into Co-Ed football and you like playing in Hunt Valley, check out: Play Baltimore.

We beat the Warriors, then lost to Balls Deep. Had to play the 2nd half of the season with a makeshift team, after losing 4 guys to injury (on top of vacations and other summer crap), so getting a playoff victory was nice.
ReplyDeleteI will say it again...Choo Choo!!! Here comes the All Madden Express...
ReplyDeleteThis is Mac from Shire/The Movement. WE WILL WIN THE GAME ON SATURDAY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHit Squad choked as they have done ever since we have played them for the past 4 years. They are lead by a "never was" in the old man. Hitmen came close.. maybe in the fall. Great effort Hitmen.
ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous... Tell us who you are. By the way Hit Squad didn't have their QB this last weekend. I don't think choke is a fair assessment. They did get beat handily by TTB but TTB is great team that looks to put Shire to the test. At least MAC will be there this weekend. Mac missed the last game between those two.
ReplyDeleteNick, I hear the train...Looking forward to the games.
I'd have to agree with Mac they didn't choke but I don't think Brady would have made a difference. I watched & TTB was clearly the better team. Watch out Shire / Movement. TTB by 4.
ReplyDeleteThis is Peazy from the Movement asking who is this anonymous guy making all these predictions???TTB by 4....we shall see Saturday
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about TTB but I'll tell you this about Shire. Peazy is lightning in a bottle and MAC is just a great all-around footballer with an intensity that is ridiculously contagious. Gonna come down to QB play but I like Shire in this one. I guess I'll pick AM-Express as well (although I got a ton of respect for Untouchables).

Mike...We miss you!!!!!! Well, I miss you..haha
ReplyDeleteThanks for the love Mike.... You didn't play with the Madden Express this summer?
ReplyDeleteNo, Mike didnt...We only had 5 guys from our Madden squad this summer. Just imagine the dominace once we get the full squad back in the Fall!!!
ReplyDeleteWill this Fall be the first time you have your full squad?
ReplyDeleteWe had it in the Spring when we wont it all...
ReplyDeleteAfter recovery, #32 is back on the All Madden Squad this fall too. Watch out!
ReplyDeleteWatch out Nick and Will, we will be returning to the All Pro league this fall. It's game time!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSure thing Mac. Miss you guys too Nic, looking forward to getting back out their in the fall!

I guess the 3 Express guys dont get any love. Myself, Taye and Seth bring it just like you All-Madden boys. We were one of the teams that beat All-Madden in the spring before they made their title run. I hope everyone underestimates the Express in the fall because we are stacked, reloaded and hungry for the title.
ReplyDeleteI said TTB by 4 but guess I was off by 2. TTB by 2!!!
